Description:
Shortpass Edge Filters are used to transmit wavelengths shorter than the cut-off wavelength of the filter. Shortpass Edge Filters are commonly use in life science applications includingfluorescence microscopy or for integration into a variety of instrumentation. Shortpass Edge Filters can be used with Longpass Edge Filters to create custom bandpass filters to selectively transmit portions of thespectrum while rejecting all other wavelengths. These optical filters can also be used as hot mirrors to minimize unwanted heat caused by infrared radiation.

Dichroic Shortpass Filters are designed for a 45° angle of incidence. The rejected light is reflected at 90°, making these filters ideal for use in fluorescence applications or as spectral beamsplitters.
